Cinema Hall and Multiplex Ventilation —  Products for Acoustic Comfort and Clean Air

The cinema auditorium is one of the most demanding ventilation spaces: hundreds of people in windowless spaces, projection and sound equipment with significant heat emissions, extreme acoustic requirements and a permanent need for fresh air without disturbing draughts or noise.

Mandatory airflow requirements: minimum 30 m³/h per person per Romanian hygiene regulations. A 400-seat hall requires minimum 12,000 m³/h fresh air — impossible to ensure through natural ventilation. EC motor fans with CO₂ sensor control (VAV — Variable Air Volume systems) automatically optimise airflow based on actual occupancy, reducing energy consumption by 40–50% versus constant airflow operation.

Acoustic comfort is critical — the audience hears the fan if it produces more than 30–35 dB(A). DWDI/RDP EC incorporated fans or soundproofed BOX BD PLUS, operated at partial speeds via EC motor, generate 6–12 dB(A) less noise than fixed-speed AC equivalents.

Smoke extraction is mandatory per P118-1:2025 for significant-capacity halls — F300/120 certified fans with automatic actuation at fire panel signal.
