Nicotra Gebhardt MultiEvo hybrid fans — maximum achievable efficiency for AHU and industrial ventilation
Nicotra Gebhardt RQM/RPM MultiEvo hybrid fans represent the most advanced technology available in centrifugal AHU ventilation — an entirely new category that surpasses the efficiency ceiling of all conventional EC plug fans and traditional cased centrifugal fans. The name "hybrid" describes the product's essence precisely: plug fan compactness combined with cased fan efficiency.
What MultiEvo technology is: instead of a classic spiral casing or a bare plenum-mounted plug rotor, hybrid fans use a patented system of spiral-shaped guide vanes with multiple discharge outlets (multiple discharge integrated scroll). These galvanised steel guide vanes partially surround the rotor and redirect the airstream with minimal losses, achieving the static pressure recovery specific to cased fans — without the large footprint of a classic spiral casing. The result: total system efficiency (fan + motor + drive) of up to 78% — 15% higher than the best-performing EC plug fan on the market (RLM-Evo, independently tested at ILK Dresden).
The IE5 motor: unlike standard IE4-class EC motors, the integrated permanent magnet motors in the MultiEvo series are rated IE5 — Ultra-Premium — the highest motor efficiency level defined by European standards. Integrated electronics, no external drive needed, factory plug-and-play configuration — connect power and control signal and the fan starts directly at optimum parameters.
Advantages over conventional EC plug fans:

Typical applications: high-energy-performance AHUs for nZEB buildings and hospitals where fan efficiency is normatively audited, ventilation plants for data centres where power density and energy efficiency are critical, replacing large cased centrifugal fans with fangrid hybrid arrays (flexibility + redundancy), complex VAV systems and any application where 78% system efficiency is a design requirement.
Range specifications: rotor diameters 280–900 mm, motor power 1.4–18 kW, static pressure up to 2,000 Pa, airflow up to 40,000 m³/h, 0-10V and Modbus RS485 control, IE5 permanent magnet motor, IP54 complete system, horizontal or vertical mounting.
When to choose hybrid over standard EC plug fan: if the installation duty point requires static pressure above 400–600 Pa, or if system efficiency must exceed 65–70% (advanced nZEB requirement or energy certification), MultiEvo hybrid fans are the only plug-style solution meeting these requirements.
