Medium-pressure centrifugal fans — performance for commercial and industrial ventilation systems

Medium-pressure centrifugal fans represent the dominant category of commercial and industrial mechanical ventilation — equipment covering the widest variety of real-world applications, from medium office buildings to production halls and air handling installations. Available static pressure of 300–1,000 Pa allows them to efficiently push air through duct networks of 10–50 metres, with filtration, heating coils and multiple distribution branches.

They are the central component of commercial and air conditioning plants (AHUs), hotel, hospital and shopping centre ventilation systems, industrial hall ventilation with distribution networks, localised extraction systems (industrial hoods, spray booths, welding extraction) and advanced filtration installations where F7–F9 filter resistance adds 100–200 Pa on top of ductwork. The robust construction — welded galvanised steel casing, dynamically balanced rotor — ensures years of continuous operation without intervention.

How to choose: calculate the total static pressure of the most resistant branch of the installation (the critical circuit). If the value falls between 300–1,000 Pa, you are in the medium-pressure range. Specify the blade type — backward-curved blades are recommended for VFD-driven installations due to the self-limiting power characteristic.
